Romans 8:1  “…who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit”
With Jesus, we live by different rules.  Our soul has been saved and our spirit renewed.  We aren’t enslaved by our sin and can live as Christ desires.  Any sin has been taken care of so we can continue to grow to be like Him.

3  “…weak through the flesh…”
The law could not help us since our flesh could not maintain it.  Christ was able to do it in the flesh and was able to transpose His sacrifice to us.

21  “…the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption…”
The term creature here is better translated creation; that which has been created.  All of creation will someday be freed from the curse of death and decay.

24  “…we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?”
This hope is not hope with a question as to the result or with an “if” clause.  We do not hope that Jesus can save us or that He is coming back.  We are assured of both as they are facts.  But we refer to them as our hope simply because we do not yet see the result.  Our faith is the current manifestation of our hope.  Our hope is in Christ which leads us to demonstrate faith.  One day our faith will be replaced by sight and hope will no longer be needed.  Raises the question:  Is hope assured or un-assured or both?

I hope you enjoy reading and studying His word.  May it accomplish what He desires.  Please feel free to comment or post questions.  Thanks for reading!
