Proverbs 12:1  “…he who hates correction is stupid”
Pulled no punches on that one.  Foolishness of not recognizing you don’t know it all and the great gain of assistance in finding the correct path.  Pride is a contributing factor.

2  “A good man…man of wicked intentions…”
Bible tells us there is none good but God, and certainly none of us have any good within ourselves without His righteousness.  But God can see our intentions whether they are good or bad.

4  “An excellent wife is the crown of her husband…”
Wish more women could understand this.  I know men are more apt to not be what they should in regards to their wives, but perhaps they would if wives could understand their importance.  Being what you were created to be is not degrading nor does it discount your worth.

5  “…counsels of the wicked are deceitful”
Can’t be trusted.

9  “Better is the one who is slighted but has a servant, Than he who honors himself but lacks bread.”
Truth of the matter is better than any false bravado.  Reminds me of those who live beyond their means.  They look like they are financially wealthy when in reality they are so far in debt they are actually poor.

10  “A righteous man regards the life of his animal…”
We were told to have dominion over the earth, to subdue it.  That includes taking care of the animals and other creatures of the earth.  However, we must never elevate their status to that of humans.

18  “…the tongue of the wise promotes health”
Not only in giving wisdom, but also in encouragement.

23  “A prudent man conceals knowledge, But the heart of fools proclaims foolishness.”
Better to be silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.  Prudence and wisdom go hand in hand.

25  “Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.”
The great power of encouragement.  What great and awesome deeds and accomplishments could there be if only for a single word of encouragement.

27  “…lazy man does not roast what he took in hunting…”
Laziness is not only not starting, but also not finishing.

28  “In the way of righteousness is life…”
We forget the reality of the situation.  God exists, and we are sinners.  The only way to Him is through His righteousness given by grace.  Nothing else really matters.

I hope you enjoy reading and studying His word.  May it accomplish what He desires.  Please feel free to comment or post questions.  Thanks for reading!
