Ephesians 1:17-19  “That…God…may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:  the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe…”

Ephesians 2:14-18  “…who hath made both one…Having abolished…the law of commandments…make in himself of twain one new man…reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross…through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.”
Promises and covenants of salvation were made to the Jews.  God intended them for Gentiles also, but you had to go through the Jews.  Jesus fulfilled the requirement of the law to pay for sins for all, thus removing the separation between Jew and Gentile.  Now all are one.  All come to the Father the same way, through Jesus and His atoning sacrifice.
