2 Timothy 1:7  “…God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

2 Timothy 2:5-6  “And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.  The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.”

2 Timothy 2:13  “If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.”

2 Timothy 3:5  “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof…”
Sounds familiar.  “I’m spiritual, but not religious.  I’ve made myself better by following some set of rules or creed which I have decided is best for me.”

2 Timothy 3:12  “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”

2 Timothy 4:5  “But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.”
