1 Timothy 3   Qualifications for bishop and deacon.

1 Timothy 4:1  “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly…”
Apparently Paul had encountered visions and leadings of the Spirit, to himself and probably through others also.

1 Timothy 4:1  “…in the latter times…
At some point.  Probably a reference to the apostasy of the latter days.

1 Timothy 4:4  “…every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving”

1 Timothy 4:15  “Meditate upon these things…”

1 Timothy 5:3-8   Families should provide for their own and not burden the church.  The church looks after those who have no other earthly connections.
1 Timothy 5:8  “…if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.”

1 Timothy 6:17-19  “…them that are rich…trust…in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy…do good…be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; laying up…a good foundation against the time to come…”
